How does Canvas Project work?

If you’ve gotten this far, you must be feeling the creative spark! Register for Canvas Project by July 26, 2021 by submitting some basic info about yourself as well as a simple cell phone video, up to :90 seconds, that displays your creative outlet. No need for a professional video or fancy editing, we just want to see your creativity. We understand the process is demanding, so all fully registered submission will receive a $50 USD gift card from Tales of the Cocktail Foundation. One gift card per registrant.

Eligible entries must be tangible and able to present or showcase in a gallery setting. Photography, writing, visual and digital art, music, furniture making, glass blowing, fashion – the sky’s the limit. Just as long as we can see, smell, touch, taste or hear it.

Submissions will be reviewed by Tales of the Cocktail Foundation and Bombay Sapphire who will select up to 20 hospitality professionals. Those who are selected will be notified from Tales of the Cocktail Foundation via email by August 3, 2021. Those selected will be invited to participate in local spotlight events where their creative passion will be on display as well a $500 USD local grant to produce any items for the event.

Who can sign up for canvas project?

Canvas Project is open only to individuals who are legal residents of the 50 United States (except Utah) and Canada. You must be at least 25 years old when you submit, and you must work in a bar or did work in a bar prior to the pandemic. Please see official rules for more details.

What are the video requirements?

• Video cannot be longer than 90 seconds
• Video can be shot on any smartphone or other device
• Video should showcase your creative outlet
• Your creative outlet should be tangible and able to present or showcase in
  a gallery setting
• Videos cannot be trademarked, copyrighted, or intellectual property of
  third parties
• Videos must be an original creation and not have been used in previous
  media, competitions or other publications
• Video should be under 300 MB
• Video must be saved as mp4, avi, wmv, mov, 3gp, mkv or webm
• Video must be discus compliant
