Social Responsibility

Social responsibility is at the heart of everything we do, learn about the socially responsible measures we use at the Bombay Sapphire Distillery.

Responsible Drinking

How we ensure the consumptionof our gin is safe and responsible

LEGAL DRINKING AGE
As a responsible producer and marketer of alcoholic drinks, we make every effort to ensure our activity does not appeal to anyone under the legal age for purchasing alcohol. This policy extends to the marketing of our distillery as a visitor attraction to the general public.

CHALLENGE 25
The distillery operates a challenge 25 policy. Any guests on-site who by reasonable doubt look under the age of 25 to any of our consumer-facing staff will be asked to provide photo identification including but not limited to; passport, driving license or PASS card to purchase alcohol on site. Copies or photographs of identification cannot be accepted.

Charity Partners

‘Just a Drop’ is the primary charity partner of the Bombay Sapphire Distillery. Just a Drop is an international water and sanitation charity. Their aim is to bring clean, safe water and suitable sanitation facilities and practices to communities in need across the world. (https://www.justadrop.org/).

The Distillery works with various local charities and associations – including raising funds for Butterfly Conservation to support the reintroduction programme of the endangered Large Blue butterfly.

All charity requests are taken on a case by case basis and should be made by e-mail to hello@bombaysapphire.com for the attention of the Sales, Marketing and Events Manager.

Due to the high volume of charity requests, we are not always able to reply to every email.

Road Safety

How we keep our guests safe on the road

The Bombay Sapphire Distillery is located in rural Hampshire on the B3400 between Overton and Whitchurch. The distillery has excellent links to public transport with bus stops (serviced directly by the 76 bus route) directly outside the gates of Laverstoke Mill. To take public transport to the distillery please follow the transport advice on our website.

As part of the experience each guest will receive a complimentary drink. Guests have the choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. For guests who have driven to the distillery or are planning to drive after their visit, they can opt for a non-alcoholic drink.

To further discourage drink-driving, one takeaway pack is available for each guest who has driven to the distillery for them to enjoy a Bombay Sapphire cocktail in the comfort of their own home. Each takeaway pack includes a 50ml miniature bottle of Bombay Sapphire and a 200ml bottle of tonic.

If taking part in the cocktail masterclass or any scheduled event guests will enjoy up to three drinks over the relevant period of time. Guests should arrive by public transport or arrange other means of leaving the distillery.

As part of the Bacardi family, Bombay Sapphire promotes responsible drinking – for further information please visit www.championsdrinkresponsibly.com.
